1/22/25 Update – We’ve visited the Megasite and we have some new images. From what we can tell there are three buildings under construction right now. It appears that two of them are already on the market. Here’s our new gallery. After the gallery we’ve added some details about the development.

Update 10/17/24 – They are making good progress on the Hutto Megasite, located just east of town along Hwy 79.

We went by to take some pictures, it’s hard to tell exactly what is what. There are some big buildings out there now and a bunch of cranes, as you can see in the images.

Added 8/23/24 – If you travel east on Hwy 79 from Downtown Hutto, you may have noticed a pretty large development going in at County Road 132. It’s just across from Covert Chevrolet.

It’s called the Megasite. This 1400 acre project is expected to attract manufacturers and semiconductor related users, considering it’s proximity to the new Samsung Plant being built in Taylor, 4 miles away.

The city has been preparing the area with roads and infrastructure. And now the development has begun.

“Strategically located along US Highway 79 (3 miles to SH-130 and 10 miles to I-35), the Hutto Megasite features 455 acres owned by the Hutto EDC, with another 1000+ acres under option.

“The Hutto Megasite is home to the Hutto Mega TechCenter, a 2.6 million+ square foot industrial space for lease or build-to-suit.” From Hutto Economic Development.
